Following the legislative changes, two new laws came to legislate municipalities in the management of the municipal contracts, which are:

• Bill 76 – Tightening of rules governing contract allocation in the municipal sector
• Bill 102 – An Act to amend various legislative provisions respecting municipal affairs

Bill 109 “Municipal code of ethics” will also come to complete them.

For that purpose, the Town of Témiscaming adopted its Contract Management Policy (available in French only) February 8th, 2011.  You can consult it in the section “Document to download” at the bottom of this page.

Moreover, you can consult the list of contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $ 25 000 in the section “Link to visit" at the bottom of this page. This list will be updated once a month such as prescribed by the article 477.5 al. 1 and 2 of the Cities and Towns Act.
