Swimming will be cancelled in the following circumstances:

  • Lightning
  • Cold temperature
  • Violent winds
  • Thunder
  • Rain during a part of the day
  • Tornado
  • Snow

The beach will stay open:

  • If the rain has stopped
  • If thunderstorms or abundant rain lasts only ½ to 1 hour
  • Based on good judgment
