ROYALS take lead in series

With the memory of Friday night's home loss to the Innisfil Lakers still fresh, the Temiscaming Royals took a bus ride down the 400 to Innisfil for game three of their semi final series tonight and came away with a 3-1 win. The Royals now lead the best of seven set, two games to one, with game 4 set for Easter Sunday at 1:30pm in Innisfil.
After a scoreless first period, the teams exchanged goals in the middle period. North Bay's Darcy Vaillancourt with assists from Arvastsson and Hendrey opened the scoring for the Lakers. The Royals replied with a goal from Corey Raymond assisted by Chris Fraser and Justin Murray. The second period ended in a draw.
The third period saw the Royals dominate in the Lakers zone for most of the period and were rewarded with a couple goals. Cory Marquardt on a pass from Benoit Fiset and Guillaume Brisebois on an unassited tally rounded out the scoring.
Royals Guillaume Piche took the win anf Matt Treadwell of the Lakers, the loss.
In the other semi final series the Bradford Rattlers defeated the Elliot Lake Bobcats 6-2 this evening in Elliot Lake and lead their series 3-0.
