Only 3 days after being told that Steve McCharles, head coach/G.M. of the Royals had been selected as one of the coaches of the G.M.H.L. All Star squad, the Temiscaming Royals are very proud to announce that 4 players have been selected to attend a U.S. tournament competing against NCAA division III teams. Darcy Vaillancourt (Bonfield), who is presently on top of the scoring race for the league. Corey Raymond, a Temiscaming native were selected as forwards, while Sebastien Poirier(La Sarre) and Rylan Henley (Longlac) will be joining the defense.
The four players will be performing in front of numerous American college scouts, who will be watching their every move on-ice as well as off. Briefly, this tour, will without a doubt open doors to potential scholarships in U.S. colleges/universities.
