*** YOU WILL NOT NEED TO BOIL THE WATER ***
The new plant will be started and tested in a closed circuit before it is sent to the water system. As the new plant feeds the network, the old plant will be stopped gradually. The majority of users should not perceive any impact on the start-up of the new plant. However, during the first two days, some may occur:
- Colors in water:
Check before washing clothes. If needed, let the water run until it returns to normal.
- Changes in pressure or air in the pipes:
Let the water run gently until normal conditions returns.
This start-up is expected to be done throughout the day on March 14th, 2011 by the Town of Témiscaming employees, which will be joined by engineers from the firm of Genivar and water treatment equipments specialists of John Meunier. Inc.
