Every year, the Town of Témiscaming does a spring cleanup. Usually, it last about two weeks in the urban sector. The town cleans-up the roads, sidewalks, parks and walking path.
The Town solicits the cooperation of the citizens in order to complement the cleaning operations. You can contribute by doing the following simple actions:
- Cleanup your yard before the mechanic sweeper goes by in order for the sweeper to pick-up rocks and sand in the street. It is important not to make any small piles; the sweeper will not be able to pick them up efficiently;
- Avoid parking in the street during the cleanup;
- Clear the road of any obstacles for the mechanic sweeper: basketball net, hockey nets, bins, etc.;
- Pick-up litter in the parks and pathways.
All cleanup operations will be done according to a predetermined course.

The cumbersome items pick-up for the Town sector takes place twice per year; the end of May and the middle of October. The pick-up for the cottage sector takes place at the end of June and the middle of October.
