Since November 1st, 2012, the Town of Ville-Marie manages municipal offences as well offences given by the Sûreté du Québec throughout the territory of Témiscamingue. Ville-Marie is therefore acting on behalf of the municipalities through an inter-municipal agreement for the services of a procurator for the judicial part of the municipal offences.
Consequently, all offences given on the Town of Témiscaming's territory must be paid within 30 days of the date of service:
- At the Caisse Desjardins or any other participating financial institutions (SIPC # 07242)
- By sending a cheque or money order to the Town of Ville-Marie at the following address:

- At the town hall of Ville-Marie: direct payment, credit card (Visa or MasterCard) cheque or cash at 21, St-Gabriel Sud, Ville-Marie, between 8 :00 am and 12 :00 pm and 1 :00 pm and 4 :00 pm.
Failure to pay the fine, the file will be transferred to the courthouse in Ville-Marie. At this stage, the offender will then be considered guilty and some court fees will be added to the initial amount of the offence.
Pleading not guilty
To contest a ticket given by a police officer, the defendant must fill out the response form, tick the box "non coupable", write the current date, sign it and send it to "Services des infractions et amendes" , Town of Ville-Marie at the address above within 30 days of the date of service. A court notice will be sent to you afterward. The offence service department does not have the ability to cancel an offence given by a police officer.
