WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOTE AT THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS?
YOUR NAME MUST BE ENTERED ON THE LIST OF ELECTORS
Témiscaming, October 10th, 2017 –– Within the framework of the elections scheduled for November 5th, 2017 in the Town of Temiscaming, the returning officer, Sophie Lamarche, invites electors to ensure that their names are entered, and entered correctly on the list of electors if they would like to exercise their voting right.
As a result, Sophie Lamarche would like to inform the public that any application for entry, striking off or correction must be presented at the following address and at the following dates and times:
20, Humphrey Street, Témiscaming
October 19th, between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm
October 23rd, between 10 am to 1 pm
During this period, an application for revision can be made either personally by the person, or by his or her spouse, a relative or a person who cohabits with the person. In addition, an application for striking off can be made by an elector who is eligible to be entered on the list of electors of the same polling subdivision.
It is worth stressing that in the case of an application for entry by a domiciled elector, the former address of the domicile is required and two documents must be provided by the person who files the application. One must mention the name and date of birth while the other must mention the name and current address of domicile of the person who is to be entered.
Finally, remember that the returning officer is responsible for drawing up the list of electors of the municipality. She does this from information contained on the permanent list of electors provided by the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec.
