Use of drinkable water in Temiscaming


In order to preserve the quality and quantity of the resource, a municipal bylaw govern the use of drinking.


Following are the main points concerning watering:


·Manual watering (with gun close at hand-held release) of gardens, lawns and trees is allowed at any time.


·Watering with watering removable system of gardens, lawns and shrubs is permitted from 8 pm to 11 pm on even days for even addresses and on odd days for odd addresses.


·Watering with automatic system is allowed only from 3 am to 6 am Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.


·Watering of new lawns is permitted at any time on the day of its installation and then every day for 15 days from 8 pm to 11 pm.


·Vehicle washing is allowed at any time provided you use a hose fitted with a self-closing.


·Washing driveways, sidewalks, patios or buildings is permitted from


April 1st to May 15th or following work justifying cleaning.


·Water games must be equipped with an automatic motion detector and the continuous supply of drinkable water is prohibited.
