PLANNING BY-LAW PROPOSALS

PLANNING BY-LAW PROPOSALS

Build a home. Maintain a building. Develop a project.

Every planning decision directly influences our daily lives, our neighbourhoods, and the future of Temiscaming.

With this in mind, the Town of Temiscaming is introducing three draft planning by-laws to adapt certain rules to current realities, better guide land development, and preserve the quality of life we value.

What you need to know:

  • Draft By-law No. 727
Adds and clarifies standards related to the occupancy and maintenance of buildings to ensure they remain in good condition and safe.

  • Draft By-law No. 730
Expands the powers of Town Council to authorize certain uses under specific conditions, depending on sectors and projects.

  • Draft By-law No. 731
Updates certain provisions related to zoning and subdivision to better guide land development.

Why is this important?
Because these by-laws aim above all to maintain a pleasant, safe, and well-planned living environment for everyone.
