Unifor Local 233 donates $3000
The hundredth committee is back this week with a new partner!
We are pleased to introduce Unifor Local 233, which is the union representing workers at Rayonier, in Temiscaming. They gave us a generous donation of $ 3000 for the centennial festivities! Unifor was officially formed on August 31, 2013 at a convention in Toronto.
The day celebrated the union of the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP), two of the largest unions in Canada. Unifor intends to negotiate on behalf of its members and work with them to improve working conditions. The whole committee would like to sincerely thank Unifor Local 233!
