CISSSAT- Vaccination for people aged 80 and over begins in Abitibi-Témiscamingue

The  vaccination  campaign  against  COVID-19  is now  underway in the general population.

 
As vaccine availability is limited, vaccination in the population will take place in stages. For example, people aged 80 and over (born in 1941 and before) will be invited on February 25, starting at 8 a.m., to make an appointment to get vaccinated.
 
Appointments are mandatory
Visit the Québec.ca/vaccinecoVID page is the easiest and fastest way to make an appointment  and    track  the progress  of  the  campaign  by  region. For those who do not  have  access  to the   Internet or who  have    difficulty   using   it,  it  is  possible  to  call  1-877-644-4545    for  support.
 
On this  regard,    relatives  are  encouraged  to  provide    support  to  seniors    for online appointments. 
 
In addition,      caregivers   between the  ages  of  70 and 80  who  will accompany  their  loved ones  on  their vaccination appointment will also be able to be vaccinated if they have made an appointment  at the same time as the people they will accompany.
 
It should be noted that people shouldn't show up `^to get vaccinated without first getting an appointment.

For now, six vaccination clinics against COVID-19 will be deployed in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Other sites could be announced later depending on demand.
