Municipal update - Number 9
TEMISCAMING -THIRD WAVE -COVID-19
Dear fellow citizen,
Following the announcement of recent positive cases in Temiscaming, we have citizens who are worried and very concerned about their environment, when they are in Public places. However, l must congratulate our people, because so far, we have been relatively spared.
I think it is necessary to recall the Public Health guidelines:
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow rather than your hands
- Wearing a mask is mandatory in public places
- Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
- Clean up your environment
- Follow the 2-metre measurement with others when it is necessary for you to get out.
- Remember that the symptoms of COVID-19 are cough, fever or difficulty breathing.
- In doubt, contact Public Health and get tested
I would like to encourage people to continue their good habits. Even after the pandemic, these habits help protect against other viruses which may appear (influenza and others).
I would also like to congratulate the employers and business owners who rigorously follow the instructions and take the necessary measures to protect their employees and the population.
For those who are against the fact that the government made the wearing of the mask mandatory, do not wear the mask because the government made it mandatory, but do it by respect for the citizens mentioned above.
During this difficult period, your Municipal Council has difficult decisions to take, but rest assured that all those decisions are taken with the main objective of not putting people's health at risk.
If we continue to follow our good habits, regardless of a third wave, «Ça va bien aller »!
